1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hundredweight ("the Service"), operated by Untangling Systems LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hundredweight provides livestock auction market data, price analysis tools, and related services. Data is sourced from USDA public reports, auction websites, and other publicly available sources. We aggregate, normalize, and present this data for informational purposes.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• Free accounts may follow a limited number of auctions and receive summary data.
• Paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Business, Enterprise) unlock additional features, auctions, and data access as described on our pricing page.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service beyond your subscription tier's allowances.
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data from the Service without an Enterprise plan or written permission.
• Use the Service to manipulate livestock markets or engage in fraudulent activity.
• Attempt to circumvent access controls, subscription limits, or authentication systems.
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond the API limits of your subscription tier.

5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Livestock market data is provided "as is" for informational purposes only. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that prices, sale dates, or other data are correct, complete, or current. Data may be delayed, estimated, or derived from public sources with their own accuracy limitations.

The Service is not financial or investment advice. Livestock buying and selling decisions should not be based solely on data from this Service. Always verify prices directly with the auction before making selling or purchasing decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, code, tools, and derived analytics are the property of Untangling Systems LLC. Underlying USDA data is public domain. Our value-added processing, normalization, analysis tools, and presentation are proprietary.

Free and paid users may use data for their own business decisions. Redistribution, embedding in other products, or systematic extraction requires an Enterprise subscription or written license agreement.

7. API Usage

API access is available on Business and Enterprise tiers. API usage is subject to rate limits specified by your tier. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access that disrupts the Service or other users.

8. Payment and Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Sales tax is calculated and applied at checkout where required by law.

If payment fails, your account may be downgraded to the Free tier. We will notify you by email before any downgrade.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting ring@hundredweight.app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Untangling Systems LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses from livestock buying or selling decisions made using our data.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
